September 2024: STARS Member Feature

Arian Lundberg, Senior Postdoctoral Scholar at The Institute of Cancer Research and Royal Marsden Hospital, recently published articles in Cancer Research and Nature Genetics.

For one of the articles, Arian led the largest matched multi-omics study on lethal metastatic prostate cancer in the US, identifying four tumor sub-types, where double-negative patients had the worst outcomes, and also discovered new oncogenes driving the disease. Read the full article here.

For the other article, the team performed integrated deep Hi-C sequencing with matched whole-genome sequencing, whole-genome bisulfite sequencing, 5-hydroxymethylcytosine (5hmC) sequencing and RNA sequencing across a cohort of 80 biopsy samples from patients with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer.
