October 2024: STARS Member Feature

Helen Farrants, PostDoc at the Janelia Research Campus, HHMI, recently published an article in Nature Methods titled “A modular chemigenetic calcium indicator for multiplexed in vivo functional imaging.”

This recent publications describes a new way of building fluorescent indicators that can be used in living animals to report on physiology. You can access the article here.

Helen’s best relocation tip is to go with an open mind. If possible, find someone who has done a similar relocation recently to pick their brains of how they have navigated the system.
